As University of Tennessee Lady Volunteers head basketball coach, Pat Summitt nears her third decade of collegiate coaching and is the winningest coach in NCAA history-breaking Dean Smith's career victory record of 880 wins.
During Pat's 27-year career at University of Tennessee, she has achieved six NCAA titles, 20 Southeastern Conference tournament and regular season championships, 11 Olympians, 16 Kodak All-Americans named to 28 teams and 53 All-SEC performers. In 1999, Pat was inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame and into the Basketball Hall of Fame in October, 2000.
Pat has been a color commentator for network television, clinician, contributor to a film series, and both the author and subject of books, including Reach For The Summit (a motivational publication released in 1998 that made numerous best-seller lists) and Raise the Roof (a book that recaps the undefeated 1998 basketball team).
