Welcome to The 2008 Biennial Conference for Women, the longest-running
women's conference in the country. This conference has been designed to encourage and inspire all women regardless of where you are in this moment of your life.

Feedback from the 2006 conference was tremendously positive, with 95% of attendees planning to return in 2008. Women applauded our return to the elegant Krannert Center, the outstanding speaker line-up and the breakout sessions focusing on success in the workplace and personal excellence.

For 24 years, the Biennial Conference for Women has evolved, providing a forum for shared experiences and personal reflection. Together we learn, we laugh, we renew our spirit and resolve to live each day to the fullest. Each year, each day, each moment, we grow stronger and wiser as we strive to be a better mother, daughter, partner, friend and professional.

The Event: May 7-8, 2008

This event will again showcase exciting speakers, smaller breakout sessions and exhibitions with relevant product and services information. Attendees will also enjoy offerings from sponsors and businesses, plus an on-site bookstore featuring publications of the speakers and much more. This event will sell out, so sign up now!

2008 Biennial Conference for Women - Now is the Moment
Do you celebrate the present? Everything we do begins with a moment. Our lives are made up of countless moments-interactions and experiences that leave an indelible mark, changing us one moment at a time -- forever. Now is the Moment.

We have the power and choice to fully live each moment, but often "living" is not even on our to-do list. Living life fully is about recognizing the precious time we have and celebrating each and every moment. Life's hurdles and accomplishments define who we are and which direction we're heading. But our future is determined by the decisions we make here and now. In a moment we can change everything. Now is the Moment.

The Format

Each conference day will begin in the Foellinger Great Hall with a welcome session and keynote addresses delivered by nationally recognized speakers. Guests will be treated to entertainment with plenty of time to venture through the Women's Expo. During the Conference, attendees can select between breakout sessions on integrating home, work and community life, overcoming adversity to achieve breakthrough living, and messages from extraordinary women sharing their personal reflections and secrets for success.

Content is different on each day, so you can attend one or both days. Sessions will take place in assigned rooms within Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

The Women's Expo will be near the workshop rooms for easy browsing, and will offer information on women's programs, activities and issues, community and health education resources, and the opportunity to meet with women's agencies and organizations. There's also a Conference bookstore where you can purchase books authored by your favorite speakers. The Conference experience is an amazing way to spend some time to reflect, be inspired, and learn new strategies for living a complete life.

If you let yourself be absorbed completely, if you surrender completely to the moments as they pass, you live more richly those moments. -Anne Morrow Lindberg

The Audience

The Biennial Conference for Women draws women from all over the country, and even the world. They represent virtually all life paths-women who work outside the home, women working at home; those just beginning their careers, and those working through retirement. This wonderful blend of individualism will allow you to gain insight from the diversity as well as the commonality of the women you'll meet.

Our Charity Partner

This year, the Conference has named the Girl Scouts of Central Illinois as our Gold Charity Partner. Girl Scouts is a leadership development program for girls 5-17 who discover by doing and exploring, develop healthy relationships by connecting with other girls and volunteers, and take action to identify community needs, advocate for themselves and others and solve problems.

The goals of the Conference and Girl Scouts complement each other perfectly-developing self-potential, exploring foundational values, and contributing to the improvement of our communities. We are proud to partner with this outstanding organization of women who recognize the importance of living in the moment.
